Something new in the hoop!

Hello nice people out there.....I am actually on holiday in a lovely warm place but forgot my camera cord so I can't  download my new pictures!! So I will do the post I ment to do before I left!
I am working on a queen annes lace for .....I think a pillow...but it might go in a frame....It has been a really fun one to do....I found this lovely linen at our local fabric shop and it is just perfection for stitching on...  lots and lots of french knots!!!!  I can see a speck of my blue pen under the green.... I just love the pens that wash away with a few drops of water...
Before we left for our holiday.....I spied this piece of heaven in my garden.....it was my mum's birthday and it is the earliest I have ever seen a crocus bloom here in my New England garden....my mother was the most incredible person I have ever known ....she was the most amazing gardener and I am now the very proud caretaker of all her work and dreams....I just thought how wonderful to have this little bit show it's pretty face on her birthday.... I think she was saying hello.......xxxooo to my mum!
Nature is my heaven on earth.....this dear little thing pushing it's way up through the frozen ground to give us hope for spring.....and so so beautiful....the soft white ...the orange in the center....the gorgeous orange and yellow stamens....it just takes my breath away......such a miracle ....
Well...I am off to ride my bicycle in the warm sunshine!!!!!  Yea!!!  Happy Day to all you wonderful people!!!!  xxx

  1. I love your queen Anne's lace, so pretty. How nice it is to have plants in your garden planted by your mum, and they come out in time to rember and smile or have a little cry. Much love.
