Motivation!!

 I needed a motivational post!!!!  Mr. Richie and myself...

flowers... much needed flowers to cheer up the house!

 food always makes me happy!!

 I love asian food...this is homemade Chinese....oh my God it is soooooooooooo good!!
The dumplings are wonderful I make the dough for the dumplings as well....these are pork...
One of my favorite cookbooks is Mrs Changs Sichuan chinese.....amazing!

 Now I want this tonight!!!

 Paris......oh I love Paris....with dear friends and my sweet sister......

 Well..the storm has come and gone....but not forgotten!!  This is behind our house..looking out to Hen Island..

 I've never seen the water cover the marsh the way it did in this storm....it was like a rushing river!

 The back yard was just a few inches and huge drifts....

 It was very exciting!!!!  I loved every minute!!!!!

Blizzard!!!

We are in the thick of a huge snow storm right now...It is howling outside .....it's been snowing for over 24 hours but it's so windy we can't tell how much we have....
It brings back to memory the biggest snowstorm of my life...the great blizzard of 1978. I remember it like it was yesterday...here are a few pictures of that great storm...






















This lighthouse is the town just north of us...only a few miles away...





I am a total lover of storms as was my dad.....they are so exciting......we were the only ones who had 4wheel drive in those days so we would be the neighborhood rescue ..in the storm of 1978 we were without power for 8 days...but my dad was prepared as we had wood stoves and gas cooking so we were always warm and fed even if in the dark...mum and dad made it feel fun and adventurous!!
..well...it's still howling here and am told we still have 5 or 6 hours to go...it's very early morning right now still dark and I have several cats piled on me in bed..

December 1st!!!!! Christmas is in the air!!!

 Oh I so so so hope we have Snow......our backyard two winters ago...now this is snow to me....good snow.clumping on the trees...every branch covered
..and I love winter and snow so so so much!!

a felt work....that i've been working on for 2 christmas's  almost done...
