When I was a little girl my mum taught my sister and I to make miniature gardens....
a tiny little land where you could shrink and suddenly be small enough to look up into a flower....
It was her brilliant way of teaching us to look closely at things .....to see the smallest wonders of nature.... it worked.....for me nature is my church.....it gives me hope....
Gardens are heaven on earth...and these little tiny versions are sooooo much fun to make!!
Happy Day to you all!!
What a beautiful garden!! I love miniature gardens--I've never had one, but I think that there is something enchanting and mesmerizing about them.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well and enjoying your weekend!!
Sounds like a lovely thing to do.
ReplyDeleteYour little garden is precious. Your mother was a wise woman to teach you in such a special way.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thank you for a wonderful reminder of how I spent hours with my Grandad. We made many miniature gardens for entry in to village fetes etc, tin foil for ponds and little fences he made for me.I'll be thinking about this all day. x

ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a big fan of miniature gardens and that I used to do the very same thing. This is so pretty and great photos. Do post some pics as it matures :-)

DeleteOh it is so long since I made one of these...memories of being at home and sharing gardening and plants with my Dad! Thanks for the nudge...maybe I'll have a go once again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, my mum also taught us to look deep into a flower and see the fairies and beauty.
